Video Secrets Allows Seamless Integration With Updated API

CALABASAS, Calif. — Video Secrets has launched an updated version of its popular Cam-Reg API for qualified affiliates. The updated API comes complete with online documentation (videosecrets.com/developers/) and code examples created to provide a straight-forward integration.

The Cam-Reg API allows affiliates to create live chat accounts for their customers without the need for any customer interaction. Historically, affiliates with membership sites have used the Cam-Reg API to create an improved value proposition for their members while generating a substantial revenue stream from the live chat upsells.

In a basic example, a customer purchases a membership at the affiliate’s website, the affiliate’s systems communicate with the Cam-Reg API to create a live chat account simultaneously and the customer is able to use the live chat services without the need to create another account.

The API also injects a number of free credits to the created account in order for the customer to try out the product. When the account is created, it triggers an email to inform the user about their free live chat credits.

“The Cam-Reg API is a powerful and flexible tool designed to give sophisticated affiliates the ability to create engaging points of entry for new customers," said Brad Estes, operations manager for Video Secrets. “Once customers experience a live show with a performer, they become highly likely to continue using the service and spend more money.”

“VS Media's member API system has made it easier to directly market cam shows to our members in an integrated and convenient way," said Spike Goldberg, CEO for HomeGrown. "These types of tools really help gain and sustain cam revenue.”

Video Secrets said its expert support staff is available to discuss the many ways that the Cam-Reg API can be used to scale up affiliates' earning potential. The company said to email sales@videosecrets.com to set up a meeting or to discuss the myriad of integration possibilities offered by the seamless new state-of-the-art webcam integration system.
